Pre-tournament favourites, Clydesdale, took a battering this morning as the Green Machine defied their lack of physical fitness and cohesiveness with a decisive 5-3 victory.
Goals from Aaron Young, Stevie Nicholl, Neal Hermon and David Caldwell opened up a 4-0 lead at half-time.
Eddie Baird scored a 1st XI debut goal in the second half as Clydesdale's superior fitness started to show - they managed 3 in return.

Clydesdale then went about demolishing an Uddingston team that had obviously spent too much time in Robinson's Bar the previous night. A 7-0 hammering was as one-sided as it sounded.
The crunch match between Larne and East Antrim in the afternoon saw another 5-3 result - though this time, it was Larne that took the spoils. The tired legs of East Antrim couldn't get into their stride and they were 3-0 down at half-time. A much better second half from the tournament hosts saw the teams level at 3-3 with just 7 minutes remaining when disaster struck - a penalty stroke then a quick breakaway goal.
At the end of Day 2, the standings are:
4pts - Larne
3pts - Clydesdale
3pts - East Antrim
1pt - Uddingston
Tomorrow's schedule:
10:30 Clydesdale v Larne
12:00 East Antrim v Uddingston
