The 3rds let themselves and the club down badly today in their match with Civil Service. Turning round 1 - 0 down the final score was 4 - 0. The result did not reflect the game as we played open and attractive hockey disguising
the fact we only had 10 players.
What made the game so depressing was the attitude of some of our team. Constant moaning and disputing umpires' decisions led to two of our players being sent off,one permanently.
This is not acceptable and the behaviour of a few spoiled the game for the majority of our team who played with their customary determination and enthusiasm.
Some hard thinking needs to be done by those concerned to improve their attitude and approach to the game.
As a player I was totally disappointed.As chairman I was totally embarassed as our reputation suffered again!!
