Champions League's A Runner...
The EAHC Online regulars will be busting to "get gaming" again after the success of the Euro 2004 game. Rest assured, your patience has been appreciated and you can now sign-up to the EAHC Champions League game!
For those new to EAHC online gaming... we have a treat in store for you.
The cost for entering this competition will be a meagre £5 which can be paid online using a Credit/Debit card via PayPal OR (for the untrusting) payment can be made using cheques made payable to East Antrim Hockey Club.
A generous 1st prize will be supplemented by fantastic weekly prizes! The 6 weeks of Champions League group matches will see 6 quality prizes awarded for the top scoring EAHC gamer during that week.
Of course, the Club is not in the business of making a loss on these events, so the prize structure will be dictated by the number of entrants. For instance, 200 entrants will be enough to provide a top prize of £200, a second prize of £100, a third prize of £50, 6 weekly prizes of a DVD player and a modest income for the Club which shall go towards paying for some top quality coaching!
Confirmation of the prize structure will be made on the 10th September with details on how tie-breakers shall be settled.
The format of the game is as before... guess the result of each Champions League match and get points awarded for your accuracy. The draw for the Champions League takes place on the 16th August with matches starting on the 14th September. You can, however, sign up now! Your 'predictions' will be listed as 'Home v Away' until the draw has been made though.
I do hope you can take part in this new game and I also hope that you can convince your friends and colleagues to take part. After all... the more entrants, the bigger the prize structure.
