After having disposed of Instonians 5ths in the 1st round of the Minor Cup on Saturday, East Antrim 2nds will have to make the long trip to Cookstown to face Cookstown 6ths in the 2nd round. Cookstown provided the shock of the 1st round by overcoming Portadown 2nds!
The teams have already met once this season, with East Antrim winning 2-0. However, an away trip in the cup will be a tougher proposition.
The match will take place on 7th February, 2004 and with the 1st XI likely to want a big squad for their match against Down on the same day, the 2nds could find life difficult.
Strangely, the 2nds were scheduled to play Cookstown 6ths on the 7th February anyway - albeit in a Junior League 5 encounter.
