From 1st December 2003, a player may not change their stick between the award and completion of a penalty corner or stroke unless the stick no longer conforms to the stick specification as outlined in the Rules of Hockey (i.e. it has been damaged).
Up to now, some players have opted to use specially manufactured sticks to maximum effect in executing set piece routines!!!
