2001-2002 Awards...

Willie Irvine Trophy

Jim Strange receives the award for Club Man of the Year through his exceptional work on the Centenary Committee. Jim wins the award for the second time.

Player of the Year

Graeme Reid was a unanimous choice for player of the year. Consistently outstanding in defence, no-one else came close to challenging for the award.

2nd XI Player of the Year

Another consistent player who, despite conceding 5 penalty strokes during the season, was a star choice of the committee.

3rd XI Player of the Year

Andrew Bell was not present to accept the award as 3rd XI player of the year. Once again, consistent performances swayed the judges.

Young Player of the Year

David Devlin was not present to accept the award as Young Player of the Year, but it was recognised that David had established himself on the 1st XI with ease.

Most Improved Player of the Year

Stephen Nicholl was not present to accept the award as Most Improved Player of the Year. Stephen rapidly developed INTO an integral part of the 2nd XI and is seriously knocking on the door of the 1st XI.

The Fish

The Fish, now worth £400, has been given to Paul Leitch for safe-keeping for this coming year!
