The BBC are making a programme called SAS: Are you tough enough?, where members of the general public put themselves through the SAS training process. The last programme was called SAS Jungle and 24 volunteers went to Borneo, with presenter Dermot O'Leary. Staff Sergeant Eddie Stone put the volunteers through their paces, and tested their mental and physical to the limits, and last years winner was a female called Gill Watson.
The BBC are currently inviting applications for the new series due to be filmed in November, and as hockey is physically demanding, thought our members might be interested in applying. If one of our members is selected to go through for the SAS training process a small film will be made about their chosen sport and interests.
They are looking forward to seeing an Irish hockey player on the programme, so if you are interested, download the application form and have a go.
Note : The application form is 156Kb, so be patient.
