Stuart doesn't have a collar on now at all. He is in the wheelchair and is training to improve his ability to move FROM the wheelchair to his bed, to a chair etc. This is coming on well.
He has been out of the hospital on three trips now, and the time when he can go to watch a hockey game may not be so far away - it'll be up to other members to help out at that point.
We'll need to approach Ballysillan Leisure Centre about access to the astroturf pitch, and the cost of a wheelchair taxi is quite prohibitive.
Stuart has been invited to America next summer to visit the camp he was working at this summer at the time of his accident. He is looking forward to this.
Work should commence soon on improvements necessary (eg a ramp) to allow Stuart to return home when he is well enough.
Stuart is always keen to hear how the teams are faring.
