Even More Thanks...

Oh what a night indeed, I have to admit my memory is still a bit hazy, as to what happened after the speeches finished. I can remember propping up the bar for most of the evening. but my abiding memory is of M.FORSYTHE being hoisted to display his large posterior.

Once again well done to everyone envolved. My only regret is the evening had to end and it did oh so quickly.

The match and evening certainly seemed to go down well with all - had the air of a climax to the events about it. Well done to all, though I agree with Soupy - especial congratulations to Jim and Stephen for all the efforts.

Pass on my congratulations and thanks to all those involved in making the Centenary Dinner and Exiles match such a success. The events are something that the club can be proud of and those who were there will hopefully be able to look back on with some pride in the future.

The Exiles match was a great bit of fun seeing some of the Exiles 'rolling back the years' and proving they can still play a bit...... they might not be able to run, or have figured out this stopping the ball on astro lark etc.... but at least we gave 'you guys' a bit of a game. Interesting to see that Mark Long 'still' plays the aerial ball, and that Ivan McStea's offer of £5 to anyone receiving a pass FROM Willie Cooper was as safe as ever!

It's also encouraging to see so many younger players turning out for East again - with a bit of luck and application on their part East Antrim can challenge again!
