Saturdays match when we looked at the seasons fixtures was one that us as a club and a first eleven were expected to win!

As usual for some unknown reason the good things that we have managed to do against the top teams in our league went straight out of everyones head and into the atmosphere!Instead of us passing and moving as a team we believed that the best way to try to beat Crossgar was to run the ball, play as individuals and most of we thought all we had to do was turn up!

When the whistle for the start of the game went instead of us coming out all guns blazing and concentrated on the 70 minutes ahead we seemed to have already finished the match and were sitting in the bar thinking of the night ahead!

Very rarely if at all did we string any periods of play together!As a team we managed 3 or 4 shots on target from open play but the worrying things was the lack of saves their keeper had to make fromour short corners which up until saturday was where most of our goals have come from this season!

Concentration, composure, decision making, basic hockey skills and communication all let us down on saturday but the positive thing to come out of our major disappointment was that everyone after the match aired their views in front of each other on how the match went and what we need to do to move forward as a TEAM!
