Saturdays match is the lowest point for the squad this season!The result wasn’t helped with the loss of a few players for one reason or another!

We travelled to down with the bare essential 11 player but we still had a confident approach but that seemed to disappear for some unknown reason once the umpires whistle went!

Pretty much from the start of the game Down had the upper hand with the possession and pressure that we faced. Luckily for us though they couldn’t convert their numerous chances until just before half time!

After our half time team talk and a few changes in organisation things looked good for a brief while but then normal service resumed with pressure and chances being conceeded due to a combination of us trying to press for a goal a lack of concentration at times!

Again one word keeps appearing in these match reports and that is CONCENTRATION! Until we can get our centcenration focused on hockey as a team for 70 minutes on a saturday we while always have periods in matches were we struggle!

With our up coming match this week at home against Crossgar hopefully we can get back into winning form!
