The first eleven XI welcomed back James Greer for the first time this year after a brief stint at football to take on their fierce local rivals Larne. East were missing several key players but still forced the play for 20 mins,With Burgess,Hermon and Greer controling the play.Numerous chances were created by East with the easiest falling to new boy Jonny Porter but he managed to miss from fom 2 yards with an open net.Late into the first half East won a short corner from were Hermon scored(straight of the training pitch).1-0 at half time.The second half started and it East wer'nt at the races.Players started to panic and slowly east let Larne back into the match,Larne won numerous short corners but east managed still to keep the lead.With two minutes to go east lost concentration at the back which resulted in Larne equalising.However what was a still a good result and a great match was tarnished with Larne having a player yellow carded for a bad foul,A player getting punched in the face,A player being spat at and a senior umpire using foul and abusive language on several occasions.Roll on Omagh in two weeks.
