The East Antrim team that was selected to face the might of the Exiles looked as if it would struggle and... they did. William Cooper and Billy Pollock defied their age with competent displays. Indeed, William Cooper got the scoring underway, though this was shortly after a Neil Johnston effort had been disallowed by a very dodgy umpiring decision.

Indeed, most of the umpiring seemed biaised in favour of the "Old Boys".

The men in green, however, did get back into the game with Neil Johnston getting the goal he deserved. Indeed Neil got a second with Stephen Swann completing the East Antrim scoring.

Unfortunately, the Exiles did manage to reply with goals from Dessie Ervine, Brian Reid and Billy Pollock.
