Well... it was tough. A quality President's XI gave us the run-around in the first half. They notched up 4 goals and the half-time whistle couldn't come quick enough.

The second half, though, was a different story. Although we rarely threatend the President's goals, the green machine's defence did tighten up. In fact, substitute keeper, Graeme Cooke, managed to earn a new nickname - Mr. Clean Sheet.

A 0-0 second half restored some pride. However, the final result of 0-4 didn't really matter. The learnings that the team will take away from the event will stand them in good stead throughout the course of the season... hopefully!
